Brand name Canal
Meaning of name The name Canal refers to the tea’s capacities of enabling and enhancing communication among groups of friends taking tea together, in Mali called grins. It also refers to the satellite channels Canal+ and Canal Horizon created in 1996 who were about to celebrate their ten years anniversary. Thé Canal was very popular between 2005 and 2009. It was available in four different qualities: Special Chunmee (black package), Extra Gunpowder (silver package), Chunmee (yellowish green package) and Gunpowder (blue package). Canal became well-known for tea, but there is also a portfolio of other Canal products such as spaghetti, tomato paste, cooking oil, mayonnaise, tooth paste and mosquito repellents.
