| Meaning of name | Flecha is a Chinese-owned brand that was very successful and has had many imitations or trademark infringements (Lawal, Hayat, Super Thé, Koutam and others have imitated the Flecha design). Flecha is imported to Mali from two countries, first from Niger and then also from Senegal. First was the brown-coloured package design with bow and arrow. Then the quality was enhanced to 41022 and the design changed to a green-white design with waves and a cup with handle and a dragon. Then the colour was slightly changed to green beige. In Yaounde a completely different design in green with an earthen tea cup, and the Flecha logo came up, also imported from Niger. Note that the packages imported from Senegal mostly do not have the 41022 written on the cup. |
